Something that almost flew under my TV radar was Newstopia which is the brainchild of Shaun Micaleff.
I’m watching Newstopia as I write this and I cannot express how happy I am to see Shaun Micaleff back on TV with his own show and from what I’m seeing it’s champaign comedy that will show those Chaser boys how smart satire is done.
What is simply described as, “A new comedy series by Shaun Micallef who stars as anchorman in this satirical half hour news bulletin,” it will screen at 10pm Wednesday on SBS however if you missed tonight’s episode don’t fret as you are able to view it legally here.
Well the episode just finished and I loved every minute. Packed to the brim with gags (I was amazed at how many jokes there actually were) and oozing the class and styling that is pure Micaleff.
Winner.
