I think you might have all seen the freeview adds on TV but have you seen the unedited version?
I’m not quite sure what Joaquin’s deal is here and some people are saying that it was staged but either way it makes for some great viewing.
For more platinum Letterman check out when Paris Hilton was on back in 2007.

Arrested Development will go down in history as one of the greatest TV comedys of all time. It’ll also be remembered for being boned by Fox and I think David Cross’ thoughts on why are just spot on.
Christmas is that special time of the year where you get to watch bad Christmas movies like The Santa Clause, A Mom For Christmas and I’ll Be Home For Christmas (JTT FTW) at all times of the day. Add to this reruns of every ‘Christmas Edition’ TV show and I’m in heaven.
So I was very extremely happy to find a site that lets me do this all year round and especially at work!
Enter BetaMaXmas where you are transported to a 1980ish basement where the only things on TV are Christmas themed shows. Everything from He-Man, Sesame Street, Pee Wee Herman, Married With Children only to name a few…
The TV’s pretty sweet for 1980something as it has a remote but you may need to adjust the bunny ears to get a better picture and if you wanna know what’s on check TV Guide.

There are a few shows returning in September and Dexter Season 3 is one of them. The teaser trailer above looks like we’re in for another killer (see what I did there) season and if the progression from season 1 to season 2 is anything to go by we’ll be expecting good things for season 3.
I thought i would spread the word about a great show i’ve recently been watching called NOFX backstage pass. I only started watching it today but I’m already up to episode 4 out of 5. (They’re the perfect length to sneak in between work since each ep is broken up into 2 X 10 min).
The shows basically about NOFX playing in some pretty interesting locations that most bands would normally be afraid of touring. In every country they’ve have had some sort of mishap such as when the promoter didn’t pay the venues licence fee in Peru which results in the gig being shut down & the riot police being called in. The roadies then have to bribe a local to smuggle them out in the back of a truck. They also get screwed in China by another dodgy promoter that doesn’t pay them anything despite the show being sold out.
There’s also plenty of other entertaining stuff revolving around the cultural aspects of the countries included their visit to asia when they they hit the streets of Japan and see some drunken business people make asses of themselves (I suppose it’s no different from Australia really). My favorite part is in episode 3 part 1 when a little Japanese guy repeatable punches his buddy in the face. Other highlights include going to an S&M club, chasing the green dragon in Singapore (despite drug trafficking having a penalty of death ), playing their smallest show in 15 years in Taiwan & teaching guys how to crowd surf for the first time in Beijing
Check out the first part of episode 1 below

Empireonline are currently featuring a list of the best TV shows of all time as voted by the people.
It’s definitely worth a look as they give a brief rundown of some truly memorable shows as well as listing a favorite episode & some trivia (Did you know that Deadwood used the word fuck & it’s derivatives 2,980 times during it’s 3 seasons?).
I covers a variety of genres and a good selection of old & new shows that will bring back the memories. It’ll probably come as no surprise which took the top position (Hint:Animation), but I was happy that five of my favorite were in the top 10. Go The Wire!

So I started to watch Fully Flared and popped the disc into my XBOX 360 and was greeted with the image above.
For those who haven’t had the pleasure of visiting me at ‘The Lodge’ I have the exact same TV as the one pictured which caused my brain to turn to shit as I saw two TVs, one inside of the other.
That is all.
The third category for the ‘Best Of’ awards is for television show of the year.
In 2007 only a few new TV shows of note were released (flight of the concords, reaper and californication) but others hit their stride and confirmed their status as cult favorites (30 rock, weeds, top gear, curb your enthusiasm). We were also subjected to the awfully craptacular viva laughlin which took the award for being the shortest running TV show with only 2 episodes aired before it got axed (Even the Mick Molloy show lasted 8 weeks). The phenomenal show Sopranos also bowed out at season 7 with an ending that pissed off a lot of people, while J.J Abrams announced that Lost would conclude with another 3 seasons.
While there wasn’t too much in the way of Australian content the usual suspects of big brother, Australian idol, border security and medical emergency had high ratings while TV sunk to a new low with the national bingo night (when will they learn?). Luckily ABC provided some relief from reality and crap game shows with spicks & specks and the chasers war on everything. They also provided some original content with the satirical hits summer heights high and the librarians. Channel 7 copped a lot of flak for pilfering ABC’s previous success story Kath and Kim but it didn’t deter people from tuning in and making the final episode the most watched comedy show in Australian TV’s history.
This year there were also a few interesting developments in local television as the networks finally caught onto the fact that people prefer to download shows rather than put up with the bullshit ads and interruptions on commercial TV. In retaliation most channels decided to broadcast their shows direct from the US, which meant that we were only about 1 week behind. While Channel 7 was one of the first channels to do this by ‘fast tracking’ shows like Prison Break, Lost and Heroes it wasn’t long before Channel 10 followed suite with the controversial BPM (boobs per minute) show Californication. Channel 9 lost all credibility when they tried to sue the electronic program guide (EPG) company ICE TV for their subscription based service. This attempt was thankfully blocked and serves channel 9 right for not getting off their arses and developing their own EPG (after all SD TV was meant to be obsolete ~3 yrs ago). Hopefully next year thanks to companies like ICE TV it shouldn’t be too long before all Australians are allowed to decide when and how we watch our television.
