Podcast and Competition

Posted by: Gavin In: Podcast| Shout Out!

Hi Guys,

We’ve had a great response to our iLuv headphones competition and  received a significant increase in page views and listens to our little podcast so cheers, we owe you a beer.

We’re going to announce the winner on our next podcast which we will be recording next week so there’s still time to get in on the action! Get started by downloading episode 30 (iTunes) for details.

Good luck and thanks again!

It’s a Trap!

Posted by: Gavin In: Shout Out!

This post was originally going to be a rant but I think it shall be more of a community service announcement.

While I was perusing mininova I noticed something a little strange. A number of torrents tagged as an axxo release were all of the same size 722.52MB.

Not only were these releases of the same size they were also DVD rips of movies that have just come out in the cinemas in the US.

It was pretty clear that something was a little suss and from a quick search it was found that these torrents were fake and planted by the MPAA in a bid to collate the IP addresses of pirates (argh!)

Dropkick Murphy’s and Flogging Molly

Posted by: Crazyman In: Gigs| Music| Shout Out!

The good music announcements just keep coming.

Dropkick Murphy’s are heading back to Australia and will be playing at The Forum in Melbourne on May 29th. Support will also be offered by punk hardcore band Sick Of It all. Tickets go on sale through ticketek for $54 at 9 o’clock on Friday February the 8th. The Dropkicks won my vote for the 2007 gig of the year so make sure you don’t miss out.

Is it true is Stu engaged?

Posted by: Crazyman In: Shout Out!

Just read stu’s twitter post that says “I think I just got engaged”.

I can’t believe it’s taken you this long to bite the bullet but if it’s true congratulations to you and Jaq’s and all the best for the future!

Midday midweek update

Posted by: Crazyman In: Gigs| Shout Out!| Video Games

Hi all,

As there’s a lot going on this week I thought I would write a little wrap up of some events coming our way.

Starting off on a reminder that the Bodyjar gig is coming up this Friday @ Rubies. If you’ve read my previous post (clicky) then you’ll know that Blueline Medic will also be supporting the jar so this is looking to be one hell of a night. For the pennies crew that are interested in going please leave a comment or send me a message to let me know as i’ll picking up tickets in the city tomorrow. Its a bargain at only $18 so make sure to get your arse down to Belgrave for Bodyjar’s last Melbourne gig of the year.

Did someone say Rubies? (Update)

Posted by: Crazyman In: Gigs| Music| Shout Out!

Coming on the heel of all these great music announcements I have one of my own to make.

Bodyjar

Bodyjar are playing another gig at the Rubies lounge in Belgrave on Friday 16th November.

While I’ve already seen these boys play at rubies this year I just can’t pass up the opportunity to see them again. If you’re interested let me know so we can get the crew together and hit the hills.
