So it’s been a few weeks since my last confession and I must confess that I have been neglecting my duties around here. It’s good to see Stu contribute in my absence. Cheers bro.
I do have a number of things to post about however the combination of time and motivation gets the better of me, which is something that I will try to rectify.
In the interim check out my Twitter over at http://twitter.com/hundredpennies and if you already have a Twitter add me as a friend or sign up.
So me and Doug went to see Brand New on Friday night and Anberlin on Saturday night 2 nights of music. Brand New I had not seen live but I must say I really like them. Totally solid show with a 40 min encore the show seemed to go forever. We timed out entry perfectly walking in to the show at 10:30 after smashing some beer and then Brand New hit the stage. All I can say is see this band.
Sat night we went to see my favorite band play Anberlin. I have see them twice before both times at the Evlen and one of the shows was show of the year. This time they had a new Album out and they rocked the sold out crowd hard. It was one hell of a good show that finished with a cover of a Radiohead song Creep.
As we are half way into the year I will say that so far show of the year still goes to Dropkick Murphys followed by Anberlin and Brand New. Next Sat we are off to see The Daft and Against Me! Rock On.
No words can explain how awesome this movie looks so go check it out now.

Not only do these classic Vans have a great name they look pretty good too!
So I’ve been playing The Settlers of Catan on XBOX Live Arcade pretty much whenever I get a free moment over the last week or so.
From what I am aware, Catan is a board game created in Germany around 1995.
The game itself reminded me of Civilization and Age of Empires which are both two games that got more than their fair share of my time where you start off with not with not a lot and need to build up your resources requiring some luck and a lot of strategy.
So because I’ve been obsessed with the version on XBOX Live Arcade I went out and found the original board game and bought a copy.
While in the puzzle shop I also found out that there are expansion packs to which include the ability to have larger maps and more players and scenarios.
The standard game requires a minimum of three players and a maximum of four, so I’m hoping I can find a couple of people who are willing to set aside some time to learn this great game have a play.
Straight off the bat I am not a very religious man. That doesn’t mean I don’t believe in a god or that maybe we are the product of some alien experiment, it’s just that I haven’t signed up to one of the many religious groups on offer.
So with this I started thinking about the Easter weekend and think that I have come up with an ‘alternative’ view on what it’s all about.
I call it the Testivus for the Restofus
First up is Good Friday, where everyone seems to be doing it for the kids so that they may grow. But what am I supposed to do? I hear you ask. Well that’s simple, you drink. Drink so they may grow. You don’t want any kiddies getting ill because you didn’t smash beers now do you? I know it’s a fair bit of responsibility to have on your shoulders especially but hey shut up and take one for the team. We’re doing it for the kids you selfish bastard.
From there the rest of the weekend is a bit of a blur but hey at least those little kiddies will live for one more year.
What does happen though is during the remaining days of festivities the Easter Bunny will deliver an egg people from all around will come and from that egg little baby Jesus hatches and pops out his head to decide if there will be another long week of winter.
That’s about all I’ve got (or at least remember) for now so if you have any suggestions for what else the Testivus for the Restofus may hold let me know.
Until then enjoy you’re long weekend.
If you are an Australian university student the ever so kind folks at Microsoft would like to hook you up with Office 2007 Ultimate for just $75.00.
Off the shelf this is worth $1150.00 and is actually a better package than the Teacher and Student edition which goes for about $250.00.
This deal ends on the 28th of May so if you can snap it up do it as it really is a fuckin sweet deal.
In fact I would purchase Office for $75.00 instead of downloading a pirate version… oh hey I get it now! Nice work Microsoft! I gues $75.00 is better than $0!
I’ve got my fingers crossed that Microsoft will now do the same with Vista!

Just when you think everything that could have ever been invented has been invented those crazy scientists pull the floorboards out from underneath you and kick you in the balls.
Let me introduce to you the Wonder Pizza vending machine.
This to be friend of many a fat man can cook a 9 inch pizza in around 90 seconds.
I know, I know you want the pizza now and 90 seconds may be 90 seconds too long but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
Yet again I have been proven wrong and yes there certainly was something new to invent and for that I tip my hat to all scientists around the globe for their impressive work.
