E-Games 07

Posted by: Stu In: Events| Geek it up!

Today after work I attended the E-Games 07 exhibition on at the Melbourne exhibition centre. What I will say is that it was very similar to last year and was around the same size. I would say that if you have a Wii and are interested in the up coming games then it might be worth having a look around. I did see Mario Galaxy and I must say it does look good and I look forward to getting my hands on this game in the next few days.

No Bingo

Posted by: Stu In: Geek it up!

With the announcement of Xbox games being added to the arcade with the next dashboard update along came the thoughts of achievements. The news today however is that Achievements will not be included in the xbox games due to the following reason “In order to preserve the integrity of the original gaming experience they provide, they will have the features available at the time of their initial release.”

This is sad news for us who wanted to play some classic games and have the Xbox 360 fun of getting achievements.  The only game I really want on the Xbox is Mashed with multiplayer so with the news that they will have the original features does this mean they will not be playable on Xbox Live? I hope not.

Midday midweek update

Posted by: Crazyman In: Gigs| Shout Out!| Video Games

Hi all,

As there’s a lot going on this week I thought I would write a little wrap up of some events coming our way.

Starting off on a reminder that the Bodyjar gig is coming up this Friday @ Rubies. If you’ve read my previous post (clicky) then you’ll know that Blueline Medic will also be supporting the jar so this is looking to be one hell of a night. For the pennies crew that are interested in going please leave a comment or send me a message to let me know as i’ll picking up tickets in the city tomorrow. Its a bargain at only $18 so make sure to get your arse down to Belgrave for Bodyjar’s last Melbourne gig of the year.

Lost Connection

Posted by: Stu In: Geek it up!

What do you do when you move to a new house and have to endure numerous days without the Internet? Write a diary about how you are managing to cope without the Internet. Our friend Raj from www.idontquiteknow.com has been keeping a diary of the fun (or should I say pain) of not having an Internet connection. A must read for all geek’s who fear of loosing the Internet and have no idea what they would do without it.

Taking Back Sunday release Live CD/DVD:PartII.

I own the first part that they released earlier this year which contained their louder now album and a bonus DVD with some some footage from their live concert. As there were only about 3 or 4 live songs I was left wanting more but PartII looks like it will deliver the goods.

Contains the following tracks,
