I never thought the following words would come out of my mouth but ‘I love the French’.
I love them because they show two new episodes of The Shield a week which is twice as much as our friends in the US.
The Shield is one of the best Cop shows ever and also has a spot in my top 5 shows of all time. It really is that good and I beg you to please sit down and watch the first couple of seasons if you haven’t seen this show or given it a fair run as it will have you hooked.
Nintendo and Telstra have struck up a deal where you are now able to use your Nintendo DS at any of the many many Telstra WiFi hotspots for free!
Telstra hotspots are located at Mc Donalds, Starbucks, Airports, Hotels and many other places.
Update: Press release can be found here and a list of Telstra hotspots (there’s a lot) can be found here
Straight off the bat I am not a very religious man. That doesn’t mean I don’t believe in a god or that maybe we are the product of some alien experiment, it’s just that I haven’t signed up to one of the many religious groups on offer.
So with this I started thinking about the Easter weekend and think that I have come up with an ‘alternative’ view on what it’s all about.
I call it the Testivus for the Restofus
Saw Dropkick Murphys and Reel Big Fish last week and hands down I think these two shows are going to be sitting pretty at the top of my ‘Gig of the Year’ list come the end of the year.
The common link between both of these gigs was the lack of ‘attitude’ and general sense of enjoyment had by all where in a time of Emo where dudes either have a chip on their shoulder or are just trying that little bit too hard to be cool (or not cool I can never work that out) it was great to be at surrounded by like minded people who were there to have a bit of a sing song and a jig.
