At the gym yesterday listening to ‘The Shuffle Truffle’ I wanted to be able to skip to the beginning of the playlist where I would have a ‘Power Song’ or two…
After a quick google I found out that if you press ‘Play Pause’ quickly three times you will be automagically sent to the beginning of your playlist.
So I’ve gone and put the classic Eye of the Tiger at the beginning as my ‘Power Song’
I want to have about 30 mins of Power Tracks and I’m wondering what you would suggest or listen while you work out.
Went and bought a pair of those Sennheiser headphones to the left for ‘The Truffle Shuffle’ as the ear buds that come with iPods suck wang and are not very practicle when plodding away on the tredmill as they keep coming out of my ears.
After Tre picked up a pair of these badboys while in Europe (and paid considerably less) and giving them a decent wrap I’d have to agree.
There are certain things that have the power to take you back to your childhood in an instant.
Being a 25 (oops… almost) year old self-proclaimed geek with the mind of a 14 year old I may be taken back more easily than others.
So it was on Saturday Friday night during a Wii session that I noticed that ExciteBike was available for purchase and download for the Virtual Console.
This game holds a very special place in my heart as it was one of the first games I had ever played on the Nintendo Entertainment System and also the first time I ever did an ‘all nighter’ playing games.
Shit, just had a quick look at the diary and there are a fuckload of gigs coming up that I want / must go to.

Those crazy kids at Top Gear are at it again and the above clip is from the most recent episode which is filmed in the good old US of A and is one of the funniest episodes I’ve seen in a long time.
Man Love Rules OK!
Update: James May has made a post on the Top Gear website about their trip to America. Clickity Click Click
Oh crap, I just pissed my pants a little… Fresh off the press is word that Apple is in the process of building two offical Apple stores in Sydney and Melbourne.
Now the Sydney store will be opened first but seeing that I am Melbourne born and bred I don’t really give a shit about Sydney.
The images below (credit to appleinsider.com) are for the Melbourne store which is planned to be located on the corner of Toorak Road and Chapel Street where the Fun Factory is / was located.
Long story short. Hel’s iPod Nano has a broken LCD screen and while we try and find out if it can be repaired or if it is worth getting repaired I’ve decided to give Hels my iPod Nano and buy an iPod Shuffle (that sexy little blue temptress to the left) for me!
Also at the moment Apple have free engraving on all iPods so I went and got ‘The Truffle Shuffle’ on the back.
For those unaware of the ‘Truffle Shuffle’ please go watch The Goonies or at the least check out the ‘Truffle Shuffle’ over at target="_blank">YouTube.
So I’ve been going to the gym over the last month, and when I say “go” I mean if I’ve been more than say maybe once or twice a week it’s been a pretty good effort which in reality is actually a pretty shitty effort.
To try an combat this and also gain some results (fingers crossed) I have enlisted the help of a personal trainer and this morning was my first session.
I didn’t realize that the sole purpose of a personal trainer is to serve your ass up on a plate and make you wish you were dead.
