Doom!

Sweet! Doom is now available on the XBOX Live Marketplace for 800 points (AUD $13.20)! It includes Co-op and Deathmatch play which will be awesome! I remember playing this game on my very very very old 33Mhz (I think) PC many years ago and every time I shot a bullet the PC would have to work overtime.

It’s a deal, it’s a steal, it’s sale of the fucking century!

So I’ve gone and put my HP Pavillion notebook on eBay…

Clickity Click Click

Go place a bid, go on, DO IT!

Daddy needs new shoes!

edit: Nothing to see here people, move along. The notebook has already been sold.

All I want for Christmas is a BlackBerry Pearl

The new BlackBerry 8100 (Pearl) has been in the states for about a month and I just read here that RIM will have the Pearl in Australia before Christmas!

I’m pretty pumped about this as I absolutely love my now getting old BlackBerry and with my contract ending soon this will do me nicely.

It’s tricked out with a 1.3MP camera (which is a first for an BlackBerry), does music and video (another first), and is more consumer / blogger orientated.

Also this thing is bloody small and thin so bring it on!

Can’t Touch This…

Is It Really Such A Bad Thing?

I just read this article about the fact that the sky must be falling in because there are no Victorian teams in the AFL final series any more.

I need to put the question out there, ‘Is it really such a bad thing?’

Really? There are no Victorian teams in the finals? Should I be running for the hills or signing a partition?

Let me break this article down and provide my own little rant to the reason why some people can’t sleep at night…

FOOTY legend Ron Barassi has called for an inquiry into why interstate powerhouse clubs are dominating the AFL instead of Victorian teams.

Entourage Season 1 & 2 on DVD

For anyone who may be interested, Big W have seasons one and two of Entourage on DVD for about $30 each.

I reckon that’s a pretty sweet deal for such an awesome show.

Season four is scheduled to start next year being shown immediately after episode of the final season of The Sopranos.

Extras - Season 2

I haven’t been able to watch the first episode of the new season of Extras yet and it’s killing me!

For those who haven’t seen the first season of Extras created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant go watch it now. All the episodes are great however my favorites are the ones featuring Ben Stiller, Kate Winslet and Patrick Stewart.

So who’s involved in this new season? Well we’ve got Orlando Bloom, David Bowie, Daniel Radcliffe, Chris Martin, Ian McKellen and Jonathan Ross so far…

I might do a mini review once I’ve watched the first episode but for the time being spread the good word that Extras is back!

iTunes 7.0

Apple released a few new and updated products at it’s recent ‘It’s Showtime’ event. One of these was the new iTunes 7.0

This is a pretty big update with many new features and cosmetic touch ups that is now more media orientated than just music.

Your library is now broken up into ‘Music’ ‘Movies’ (not available in oz yet) ‘TV Shows’ (also not yet available in oz) ‘Podcast’ and ‘Radio’

The iTunes Store is now more prominent and easy to navigate and purchase content and subscribe to podcasts without having to go in and out all the time. Something that drove me nuts in previous versions.

Just Brilliant

This pretty much sums up the first week of the AFL Finals Series…

AFL 2006 Finals Series - Week 1

Tonight kicks off the AFL 2006 Finals Series and I’m as giddie as a school girl.  My team didn’t make it into the finals which was no real surprise so I’ve taken a couple of skiing lessons, traded the beer in for a chardonnay, got the brie bringing itself to room temperature and bought myself a ticket on the Melbourne bandwagon or is it a Range Rover…? I can’t remember. Either way I’m backing the Dees tonight in their clash between St Kilda and hopefully throughout the rest of the finals series. This should be an absolute cracker of a match as the loosing side is immediately eliminated from all finals glory. There is also that added pressure to Melbourne as they have not performed to well in the first week of finals previously so I’m sure that they will be wanting to prove something there.
