Recently on Real Stories, they aired a story about a lonely 27 year-old man called Glen Linford.
15 years ago, Glen drew a picture of a dick and balls in the wet concrete outside his house and as a punishment, his father grounded him indefinitely. Unfortunately, the following day his father fell into a coma and sadly still hasn’t woken up.
Since the incident, Glen’s mother Carol Linford has honoured Glen’s father’s wishes and is keeping Glen under lock and key until Glen’s father lifts the grounding himself. But as Glen’s father may never wake up, Glen could be grounded for life!
This is an outrage and Glen should be able to live a proper life outside his white picket fence. His Mum is wrong to do what she is doing, so by signing this petition we hope that Glen can one day be released discover the world like everyone else.

iiNet have just completed the construction of their DSLAM in the exchange where I happen to be located and it looks like migration will take place in the 4th week of September which is about a month away. I am not very close to the exchange but at the same time not too far away either so fingers crossed for some decent speeds. Anything is better than what I’ve currently got and I would kill to have some speedy uploads again. I had ADSL2+ at ’The Lodge’ and going back to 1500/254kbps was a kick in the guts but I guess all I can do now is wait…
So after about a year of waiting we finally saw Snakes On A Plane last night.
This was going to be a win-win movie because if it was shit then that’s a good thing and if it was actually good well that’s good too.
I am please to say that this movie was good. Actually I take that back as this movie was muthafucking awesome!
I would give you a quick run down of the plot but there is no need as the title says it all. Snakes On A Plane… it’s about snakes that are on a plane. The other reason I can’t say much about the plot is well there isn’t one.
Opening with the ever so classic sweeping shot of the ocean quickly followed by the film titles this was already receiving cheers and laughs from the audience which lasted for the next 100 minutes or so.
From there we are quickly given as little story needed to get our star and snakes on a plane.
Now for the fun bit…
Once the ‘Snakes on Crack’ have been released (there was even a countdown and a cheer from all watching) we are treated to some of the best cinematography seen by the modern movie goer. We had ‘Bullet Time’ in the Matrix and in Snakes On A Plane I would like to introduce to you ‘Snake Vision’! I’m no snakeologist but I think Snake Vision is both accurate while also adding a whole new level to this already awesome movie actually placing you in the position of the snake. It’s just brilliant.
Without spoiling the movie for those who haven’t seen it yet (if you haven’t seen it go see it now) there are deaths a plenty and as with Final Destination 2 the deaths are all very creative and hilarious. A personal favorite of mine involved a high heel shoe but all were great and very entertaining.
Besides snakes, deaths, and a plane there is Mr Jackson who just oozes the business from the first moment you see him all the way through to ‘that line’ and the end of the movie. If anyone else was in his shoes it would’ve sucked ass. Although after the film we did decide Wesley Snipes could have played the part and the title of the movie could have become Snipes On A Plane. I would pay to see that.
All in all I was impressed with Snakes On A Plane. It had everything you would expect in a crap action / thriller movie and then a little bit more.
A big three thumbs up for sure.

Snakes On A Plane
The tickets have been bought and we get the pleasure to see this masterpiece on Vmax and well I just can’t wait.
I have only heard great things from people who have seen SoaP in the US and I hope that the audience gets as excited and into it too.
To top it off we’re going to get stuck into some steak or burgers beforehand so already this gets a fat three thumbs up.

Series II of Prison Break is out and thank god…! After such a massive cliffhanger at the end of the last season (and what a great season it was) I’m as happy as a pig in poo to have finally watched the first episode of the new season. Hopefully answering some questions and putting my mind at ease while keeping me glued to the screen and on the edge of my seat.
I always knew that this new season would be a tricky one, seeing that the show is called ‘Prison Break’ and from what we saw at the end of the last episode had been accomplished where do you go from here…? Why you run of course!
Strangely and quite frustratingly the new episode doesn’t pick up at where the almighty cliffhanger left us. It looks like a couple of hours have passed and our boys are on the run, Dr Tancredi is coming out of her drug induced coma and an FBI agent is hunting them down.
This new agent is Michael’s match and a worthy addition to the show. He’s smart and has a good understanding of what makes Michael tick and more importantly where he’s going to be next. As he says “The problem I find with being ‘on a trail’ is that, by definition, you’ll always be behind your prey.” This sets up what will hopefully be a action packed and well thought out season two.
There has also been a massive shift in characters and storyline but this I will let you find out yourself but this kind of takes the shine off last season but I guess there are some things you can’t predict ie. actors not signing on for the new season…
With all of the excitement comes disappointment and this show really does have more holes than a hookers fishnets. Looking back to last season how the hell did they escape the cops? Why didn’t they let their hair grow while on the inside so they look different from their mug shots? If you knew there were fugitives running through the forest would you take your young daughter hunting? There are a lot of questions but it really doesn’t matter as this show really is awesome and I don’t think there has been a shit episode yet so bring on the rest of season two : Manhunt.
I always miss out and forget to watch The Chaser’s War on Everything. This is mainly because I am drunk on a Friday night but the fact that the time it’s on always changes doesn’t help.
