If you are wondering if your current computer will be able to run Windows Vista wonder no more!
If you head on over to microsoft.com you can now download the Windows Vista Upgrade Adviser that will pretty much give you a yay or nay on your computer and components lettng you know if you need to upgrade or how much eye candy you’ll get.
It also suggests what version of Vista that would be most suited to you. I’m not quite sure why there’s 27 different versions of Vista but I’m sure there’s a very good reason…

The world’s favourite family card game UNO is now available on the XBOX Live Marketplace for a very fetching 400 points.
Had a quick couple of games with MrLagmer and SAvaGE888 last night and boy howdie did it get intense! It’s such a great game!
I’m a little bemuzed that I’ve got a next gen console and my favourite games are UNO and HexicHD which are both tiny little games that cost $6.00! To top it off people are hanging out for Street Fighter to be available on Live Arcade! Come on! This game is like 10 years old!
Either way it’s awesome, it looks great on my HD Plasma and I’m as happy as pig in poo surrounded by piggy bitches who all want a piece of my bacon.

Looks like the Sony PS3 will cost at least $800.00 in Australia whenever they release it… The US get it in November for about US$600. Ouch!
You gotta remember that you’ll want another controller, some games, whatever ‘Online’ subscription fee, rechargeable batteries and the list goes on!
This is easilly going to be a $1500+ console at the end of the day and personally I don’t see any real reason to get excited by it.
I’ll post updates later on in the day if I can find time.
edit: forgot to factor in GST, shipping and PAL technology so the PS3 will more probably be $999.00.
Also the controler has no ‘DualShock’ or vibrations due to Sony getting sued over the PS2. However it looks like it has ripped off the ‘motion sensing’ controls from the Nintendo Wii and what also looks like the center button that is on the current XBOX360 controllers.
Saw some of the videos for their next gen games and nothing more than the XBOX360 is already doing from what I could see which is a little disappointing.
I’ll try and dig up last years ‘promises’ from Sony in regards to the PS3 and compared to what came out today it’s a major let down (the PS2 was the same) and looks good for the likes of Nintendo and Microsoft who are taking the stage at E3 tomorrow.
I feel a little sorry for the people waiting for the PS3 as today was a let down. Pretty lame me thinks…

While the details of this fantastic movie have been fairly scarse (just look at their website), it shouldnt take to much to piece it together. I mean snakes, plane, Samuel L. Jackson who bloody needs a plot with these key ingredients. Check out the preview here,

A little update on the movie, which i was reading in empire the other day. Some of the passengers on the plane include a rap star (please kill off 50 friggen cent), a texan redneck and a chinese kung fu fighter (what’s he going to do, kick them to death?).
What’s also got me excited is that they went back and shot 5 more days of shooting just to include more nudity, swearing and snakey carnage to include it into an R18+ rating. Maybe they should retitle it to ‘Snakes biting titties on a plane’. Awesome!
When empire spoke to the director David R.Ellis, he said he was contemplating making a second snakes on a plane movie after this one which would be a spoof. Now correct me if im wrong, but isn’t this movie already a spoof!

Apple has released 6 new ads in the hope of getting more ‘switchers’ from PCs to Macs.
You may notice that the ‘Mac’ is Warren from Ed or ‘That Dude’ from DodgeBall. He makes a pretty good Mac and the ads are pretty funny and play on the Mac vs PC thing…
Mac: “Hello, I’m a Mac”
PC: “And I’m a PC”
Mac: “Oh, hey… iPod, nice.”
PC: “Yeah, just a little something to hold my slowjam”
Mac: “Oh ya?”
PC: “And it works so seemlessly with iTunes”

I really do hope these ads bring more switchers to the Apple community because Macs are just better… and if you disagree you’re a fuckwit.
