Us lucky chumps in Australia still don’t know when we will be able to get our sweaty hands on the 360 but word on the street is that it could be late March.
And if that’s not enough the price will probably be around the $700.00 mark. Doesn’t make much sense seeing that with a generous conversion of $US to $AUD the price would be $550.00.

Well the weekend pretty much flew by which always sucks but what ya gonna do?
Went to the computer swap meet Sunday to buy a new Media Center / Server and Fu needed a new PC also so we went into battle with people who are either rude, smell, can’t speak English or all of the above. However at the end of the day I think we came out on top with some pretty good shit and at a decent price too so it was worth it.
I now need to come up with a name for my new computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Maybe I could make this into a competition like "Name My Box!" uhhhh actually maybe not. That sounds pretty wrong.
We also wished Marty farewell before he takes off overseas for 6 months with drinks at the Geebung Polo Club.
Good food + good drinks + good place + good people = Awesome Sunday afternoon.

I’m fuckin sick and tired of the Fox network.
This week it was announced that the third season of Arrested Development will be cut down to 13 episodes before it gets the axe from the network.
First Scrubs and now Arrested Development…
I think I need to have words to the head honchos in their $7200 suits. C’mon!

Sorry for the ranting, but i got up @ 7:00am on a friggin Sunday, which should be against the law or something.
Anyway apart the intial bad start to the day things rapidly improved.
A kick arse BBQ breakfast, and then off to the zoo to see some monkeys and giraffedogs, with Fu, Stu and Jacks. Then a secondary BBQ for lunch, and then saw the elephants which were pretty cool.
After a afternoon siesta I was ready for my 3rd BBQ of the day and man was it good !
Well stick a fork in me jerry i’m done.
I write this as I sit in our spacious three bedroom house on a decent sized block with both a front and back yard.

I have never been overseas but after seeing photos like this I really need to get out and see how the rest of the world lives.

How do you find new music? Through friends? Through radio?
I have always had that problem as to where do I find that next new band that I’m going to listen to.
Where do I look? How do I know that I will like it? Is it worth it?
Well hopefully pandora.com will help with this endless search.
I came across pandora a few months ago and while it was very very good, I did not want to pay for it.
Well that’s all changed as pandora is now free baby free!
Go check it out.
Pandora is a music player where you put in a favourite band or song and (based on the Music Genome Project) it will create a playlist of songs that have the same music characteristics.
The songs will be streamed to you in a decent quality and also a small description as to why the song is in the playlist is also provided.
This is really something that needs to be experianced as I could talk all night about it and still not get across how awesome this really is.
So far I have found three new bands that are right up my alley and I am currently getting stuck into.
It’s a nifty little tool and I hope you find it as fun and awesome as I do.

Thought I’d do a post in two of my favorite categories, ‘Ego’ and ‘Geek it up!’ who’d of thunk it?
Well I’ve traded in Stud-2 (Stud-2 was my fully sic VL Commodore. Why the name Stud-2? Stud-1 was taken by yours truly!) for a brand new Sky Blue Hyundai Getz. What was a sad decision and time has definitely been paid off as the Getz (Know as Stan [google ’stan getz’] kicks some ass!
Yes it’s a small car, has four cylinders, and three doors but I love it. Parking has never been simpler, fuel economy rules at 7.1 liters per 100kms and the little fella is pretty zippy for what it is.
All in all I’m wrapped as it does what I want and costs fuck all. It’s win win in my books.
If I get round to it I might post a picky for ya…
So I paid a visit to Stylyn in Boronia this morning to check out some car stereo set-ups as JB is pretty shit in selection and function when it comes to this stuff…
What I wanted was the ability to plug in the spare iPod I have and control it through the head unit (no more fm transmitters or aux cables) and enough sound to fill out the Getz which shouldn’t be too difficult!
After a little looking around and playing this is the set up I’m looking at -
- Alpine CDA-9851 Head Unit
- Alpine KCA-420i iPod interface unit
- Focal 165VI 6.5″ x2 Splits for the front
- Focal 130CA 5″ x2 for the rear
Grand total including installation is $1390.00 but I haven’t negotiated price yet.
It’s a bit pricey but this shit always is, I could get an FM transmitter or Aux cable for the iPod and slash the price by at least $200.00 and get some cheaper speakers or head unit to save more cash but fuck it. I spend way too much time in my car to have a system that is ‘alright’ but not what I want.
Either way I think it should be a pretty sharp set up and if all goes well I’ll have it all done by Christmas.
The other thing I need to do is get the windows tinted with is another $250.00.
Either way it’s all good.
edit : forgot to mention the $11,000.00 22″ phat chrome rims I’ve put on layby for this bitch. man they’ll be spinnin and spinnin into next year! booyah!
