Alright so the iTunes Music Store has now opened it’s doors in Australia as of this morning.
It’s taken a heck of a long time to get here and still it doesn’t look like all of the Australian record companies are on board (I’m looking at you Sony BMG) which really gets my goat.
Do they want me to keep download their stuff for free? For fucks sake stop having a cry about piracy and do something that will help stop it! And I’m not talking about that fuck ugly copy protection shit you put on your CD’s. I buy your CD and then I can’t put it on my iPod? Fuck Off…
The iTunes Music Store is not only a success in America but also around the whole world! How the hell can they not hop on board and offer a sensible and legal way of acquiring music?!
Oh yeah the going price for a track is $1.69 and $16.99 for an album, which is a tad expensive and would have liked the price to be more around the $1.30 mark. Either way it’s not as sweet sounding as a buck a song ie the US.
Either way with the iTunes exclusive tracks and some good hard to find stuff I think it’ll be worth some of your hard earned.
In conclusion I’ll be more than happy to pay for most music from the iTunes Music Store (you can pick up CDs for $20 which give you better quality sound, liner notes etc) as I think it’s a great product and with iTunes and the iPod you can’t go wrong.
Rock on bitches!
