8:24pm Thursday the 27th of October…
If you are reading this than that means that from tomorrow my life will be a full technicolor arrangement of seven shades of awesome!
I’m sitting here writing this with one hand on (hey! keeep it clean) an ice cold brew from Grand Ridge Brewery while listening to Gyroscope 22of3.
This is the begining to a fantastic few days…!
Friday
International rules at Telstra Dome to see Australia physically punish Ireland (man I love this game) with Stu and Matt. It’s already guaranteed to be an awesome night.
Satday
Car shopping (for the last time i hope) and then spending the rest of the day with my family. Fast forward to Satday night and you will be able to find me with Fu and Stu in the city getting excited over muscly men in tight shorts rubbing up against each other. That’s right we’re off to see WWE RAW! Woo Hoo! My boy Kurt will be there and hopefully we’ll get to see some signature moves such as the ‘spoon’ and the ‘snuggle’ and if we’re really lucky the ‘lipton rod’ but we can only hope.
Sunday through to Wednesday
It only happens once a year and it’s that time of year again… Inverock 06!
Inverock is soooo massive that they actually give out a public holiday for it on Tuesday. There may also be something about horses but I’m not too sure why that is… if anything the day should be about bocci and pies but oh well what you gonna do?
A couple of items on the itinary for Inverock 06 are well pies, beer, golf, pies, bocci, pies, beer, grand ridge brewery tour, pies, bocci, beer, golf and then repeat as many times as possible per day every day. It’s pretty simple really!
Anyway I best be off as I have 8 hours of work that faces me tomorrow but fear not I will be doing as little as possible as I will probably way too excited about what I have just written.
Have a great weekend all no matter where you are (shout out to tre!) and come on back around Thursday or Friday for a full run down of events from the rock.
Peace out bitches
note: this post was written about 4 days ago but i didn’t know it was there so i apologise and crazyman i’ve hooked you up so now you can post straight away.
I think im all music’d (is that a word) out. Its been a pretty insane week of live music acts, kicking off with the mad caddies supporting the royal crown revue (Caddies should have been headlining, damm it). I must say it’s a little bit freaky watching 60 yr old people swing dance. Anyway it was a good night that ended up with lots of drinking and chicken dancing.
Thursday night went to a gyroscope gig at ruby’s in Belgrave. It was an absolute kick arse show that totally rocked my socks off. We even got to go back stage, and hang with the boys. Again the night ended up a little bit crazy, got pulled over by some scary cop dude in a trenchcoat, but everything turned out good in the end. However i might try avoid getting smashed on a work night next time as the next day i was still pretty drunk and im sure i fucked up plenty of stuff at work.
Stu and me ended off the week with another mad caddies gig (Obviously i love this band) this time at switch (man is that place a dive). One of the support bands were pretty crazy, as the band consisted of a pirate, father christmas with breasts, and the singer with rubber chicken attached to his mic. Anyway onto the mad caddies who ABSOLUTELY ROCKED !. I would have to say that this was one of the best live acts that i have ever seen, the band was really pumped and drunk, and drove the crowd into a frenzy. Since switch is the size of a shoebox, the moshing was pretty hardcore, and the barrier to the stage nearly fell over and crushed everyone.
Well that about all the time ive got to rant about the music weeks of the act, and as the post title indicates i really need to give my ears a rest and let the ringing subside, which means no more music acts and getting smashed for awhile (At least not on a worknight anyway)
Until next post,
Hug that shit out bitches
Stumbled upon this dude’s website and fuck me he does some awesome work.
I know nothing of art so I’m not going to pretend but check it out.
I love it!
Alright so the iTunes Music Store has now opened it’s doors in Australia as of this morning.
It’s taken a heck of a long time to get here and still it doesn’t look like all of the Australian record companies are on board (I’m looking at you Sony BMG) which really gets my goat.
Do they want me to keep download their stuff for free? For fucks sake stop having a cry about piracy and do something that will help stop it! And I’m not talking about that fuck ugly copy protection shit you put on your CD’s. I buy your CD and then I can’t put it on my iPod? Fuck Off…
The iTunes Music Store is not only a success in America but also around the whole world! How the hell can they not hop on board and offer a sensible and legal way of acquiring music?!
Oh yeah the going price for a track is $1.69 and $16.99 for an album, which is a tad expensive and would have liked the price to be more around the $1.30 mark. Either way it’s not as sweet sounding as a buck a song ie the US.
Either way with the iTunes exclusive tracks and some good hard to find stuff I think it’ll be worth some of your hard earned.
In conclusion I’ll be more than happy to pay for most music from the iTunes Music Store (you can pick up CDs for $20 which give you better quality sound, liner notes etc) as I think it’s a great product and with iTunes and the iPod you can’t go wrong.
Rock on bitches!
While I’m on the subject of digg.com and shit, I want everyone to listen to the diggnation.com PodCast episode 14.
I think it’s around the 3 minute mark where Kevin and Alex do a demo of Dolby Headphones. Obviously you will need to listen to this with headphones on (any headphone will do) but fuck me is it worth it!
I do not know why this is not done more often (i’m guessing it cost a fuckload) but man it’s sweet sweet on the ears.
Well I’ve been doing a little work around hornbag.net and I’ve added up top two new tabs, ‘What’s On‘ and ‘Digg This‘.
What’s On
This is a neat little run down of what TV shows I’m currently watching on channel BT and when future episodes will be on.
I think at the moment it lists what has been on in the last seven days and as much into the future that it can.
It’s also a good guide as to what will be available on my server if you know what I mean…
Digg This
Go check out digg.com if you have some spare time… it’s a community where people submit news or articles mostly on technology and if you read it and like it you ‘digg’ it.
If an article gets ‘digged’ by a lot of people it makes it to the front page.
The ‘Digg This’ tab is constantly updated with the most ‘digged’ news etc…
Always good for a little light reading, time wasting or both.
Also let me know if you create an account over at digg.com and I’ll add you to my ‘friends’ list which allows you to see what I digg etc.
Digg.com also has a PodCast called Diggnation.com which is a weekly wrap up and commentary of the most ‘digged’ stories of the week.
It’s pretty fuckin funny and always an interesting listen.

Hi people,
This week has been a big week in music and I just had to share this with you all. First show I went to was Mad caddies and Royal crown revue(bore). This was also attended by Mr Hornbag and Doug it was one good fun show with a good 45 min set by Mad Caddies what we did after went something like this. We walked the streets of the city like chickens and drank straight vodka on the rocks.
Show 2 was crazy as all hell people as we were in the town of bogans and bums Belgrave with Dan, Doug, Pete and Gav it was a great night we went all this way to see Gyroscope who Fucking rule and Pops go out to behind crimson eyes as they also rocked it up hard. After the killer show and several 100 beers we went backstage and started to chat with the band it was cool. To cap the night off it was raining and we got pulled over by this one scary ass cop who told Dan the driver that we had gone over double lines. Us drunk boys in the back were very scared as this guy was huge and we were thinking he was going to kill us or something but he just gave us a warning.
The last show in my rock week was once again the Mad Caddies at Switch yes you did read correct they played at a venue that only holds 200 or so people and let me tell you this show went off. Doug came along and he will tell you this mosh was crazy and they played for something like 2 hours almost it was great and they are one hell of a live band.
Ok that it for me Inverock 05 is on next weekend should be great. Rock out people.
