ok well the gallery is now up and running kinda… well good enough for the time being and to kick it off are a couple of pics from the warming of the lodge the other weekend.
you can check it out by clickin on the tab above
Heard the new song by Shannon Noll this morning on my way to work. The song I think is called ‘Shine’ and it’s kind of a Pete Murray / Alex Lloyd fusion with actual singing and melodies thrown in there for good measure which is a hell of a big and good step away from his big black shiny car…
It’s not a bad song and a good effort from Shannon (someone’s been taking singing lessons!) but I’ve only heard it once so I’ll have to give it the radio test and hear it 7 times in one day before I make a final decision.
well i’ve gone and moved hornbag.net to a new host and am currently still smoothing a few things out while also adding a few cool new features… so much has happened over the last few days that i don’t know where to start let alone have the time at the moment to write it all down but i promise to get back into the swing of things in the next few days or so
well i thought that i had missed the boat in the early nineties but fear not as bonds are bringing back the hypercolor shirt!
and it’s only early stages but word on the street that the much loved and if not essiantial ‘wifey’ will also be getting the hypercolor treatment.
i never had one of these icons of fashion when i was younger but now i can.
i remember the fat kid who used to have hypercolor armpits and lower back or the girl who had hypercolor hands on her chest…
all i need now is for someone to bring back the black shiny pants with the fluro stripe down the side and around only one ankle and i’ll be set!
well i’m back from holidays and hard back at it and boy howdy has this week gone fast!
work is pretty good, was hard to settle back into after a week off but i’ve got some good appointments and shit coming up so it keeps life interesting.
if we can just rewind to last weekend for a moment… i was supposed to go to the arthouse to see away from now and blueline but i got drunk at the lodge by mistake. i had my first ever shots of tequila and well i’m proud to announce that i will never ever do that again.
paul, i know you have the photos of that night and i want copies as there was some funny ass shit going down if i can remember rightly… or at all.
very messy night that one, but a good one!
anyway the weekend is almost here and i really don’t have a clue as to what is going to happen (i like it when it goes down like that) but i really need to get my shit together and buy a new car (oh yeah who wants to buy a fully sic vl commodore?) so if i get any time i might try and do something about that.
oh big brother up late is about to start so see ya later fuckers
went and saw wedding crashers on sunday night with hels
staring my boys vince vaughn and owen wilson in what i guess you would call ‘yet another one of those movies’ ie dodge ball, old school, anchorman
don’t get me wrong this movie is very very funny and the further the movie goes the funnier it gets
i was also surprised at how much of a romantic comedy this film was as i thought it would be a bit more ‘blokey’ but either way very clever and easy to watch
isla fisher is a crack up and christopher walkin is just the man
theres a cameo by will ferrell which could have been done without and came across as overkill
i won’t go into the story as i’m sure you’ve seen the trailers and shit so go out and see it and have a great laugh
Come warm ‘The Lodge’ with Hels, Pete and myself on Saturday the 20th of August.
BYO stuff with a kickoff late afternoonish with a BBQ.
Obviously being the world wide web I won’t post the address and stuff…
The AFL have announced the league’s indigenous team of the century and one of the inclusions is Nicky Winmar.
I have had the privialge of umpiring Nicky in a couple of matches in the YVMDFL and he is one of the most talented players I have ever seen in the flesh.
I have a lot of respect for Nicky and my congratulations go out to him and all of the other inclusions in the team of the century.
Well done.
