Royal Stuff-Up

Well WrestleMania XXI has been released to the world and the reviews are not that good… (link 1 link 2) I’ll be playing this game tonight so I’ll post my own review.
Word on the street is that the reason this game is getting such bad reviews is that a beta version of this game was produced and sent to shops all over the world! Now this has me thinking, how the fuck does a mistake like this happen? Forums are a buzz with discussion on errors and bugs that riddle this game with the biggest being that Xbox Live doesn’t even connect!
Looks like a fix will be made sometime in the future (link) but come on this shit just shouldn’t happen.
For shame people, for shame…

update: IGN.com has a newsflash to the problem and looks like an update will be issued… but when?

where there’s smoke

i’ve been smoke free for a month now… at present it’s a lot easier than i thought
it’s only baby steps but it’s a good start

mr brightside

well the weekend is at an end and i’m feeling a little bit better so it’s back to work tomorrow… :(
this weekend was pretty damn good, quiet for friday night just chiilin with hels watchin some tv as mentioned below and recovering from this bloody cold. satday woke up nice and early (this may be due to the fact that i was not drunk the night before) so hels and i decided to do some shopping at northlands and then smith street.
satday night saw the crew in camberwell for jax’s birthday. started off with dinner at a nice little italian place and then back to jax’s place for further drinking. scotty , loz and josh showed up which was awesome as i haven’t seen them for ages. the rest of the night was standard with an awesome wrestling display from stu and matt, just wish i had my camera for some action shots! cab ride on the way home was a little bit scary mainly because of the crazy driver and the fact that there was fog everywhere! it was like a scene from a bad horror movie.
sunday arrived a little to quickly and saw me and dad at the mcg to see richmond pump fremantle. richo kicked 6 and was in fine form. actually he’s been in great form this season which is always a good thing. richmond’s been playing some good tuff footy too forcing the opposition to make silly mistakes. hopefully st kilda will be forced to make mistakes this sunday when the mighty tigers take them on at telstra dome. if i’m free you’ll find me there.
already this weekend looks busy, with football, drinking and golf. any spare time inbetween will be for hels because she’s awesome ;)
also at the moment i’ve been doing a little searching on new places to live once our lease is up. blackburn is looking alright and so is burwood. pete hels and i will have to inspect some places soon and get into it more.
anyway that’s enough for now, have a great week all!

tick tick tick tock

as i write this there is 2:05 left in the nth melbourne vs collingwood game… the roos are up and i hope they win as i’ve tipped them and because eddie is commentating and i love to hear him try and hold back the tears.
well i’ve been sick and believe it or not also been away from work thursday and friday because of it. normally i’d put up with it but this cold has hit me pretty hard and kicked me in the guts.
woo hoo the roos have won! good work boys and suck dong eddie, i think this is 4 an 0 for the roos so good on ya boys great way to start the season!
anyway tomorrow night is jax birthday dinner and drinks which will be good to get out and have a brew as i haven’t had one for a while… and if i survive satday night alright i’ll probably be going to see the mighty tigers take on fremantle at the g with me dad again.

Unleash the Beast

On the 29th day of April Apple will release Mac OS X 10.4 dubbed “Tiger” to the world and lay a massive blow to Microsoft and their getting ever so longer Longhorn.
I’m not going to spend much time on this topic because there is no need too. Mac OSX is the OS of choice for the person with half a brain.
I’ll be parting with my hard earned cash ($129 with the Edu discount!) and purchasing this ever improving and inovating OS.
There is no doubt that 10.4 is already better than Longhorn and by the time Longhorn comes out we’ll probably be using 10.5 or 10.6!
Good luck with that Microsoft

Next Next Gen?

Just a quick one for you all… Xbox 2 is to be unveiled on MTV on May 12th in the states. I’m sure you’ll be able to watch this on channel BT. Will be interesting to see what the next next gen systems will be like!

Supersize Me

Well here I am again at the end of another weekend and I’m buggered. I’ll break it down hornbag.net style…
- Friday night saw Stu , Fu and I at Rod Laver arena to see the WWE Smackdown Tour. We got our seats upgraded for nothing and we had the best view smack bang inline with the ring and nice and close too! Even though Eddie and my boy Kurt lost their matches was great to see them up close and in action. I won’t bore you with all the details but I took a couple of photos that look ok so I’ll post them when I get a few moments. After the wrestling it was straight to the Hawthorn for a few brews with the crew and then the stayers moved on to the Glenferry for a few more beers. Was top notch catching up with a few people! Fu was crashing at my place so into a cab we hopped on the prowl for a kebab. And find a kebab we did! Mr Funny Kebab on Holmes St Brunswick East has the best kebabs in Melbourne period. Nuff said. There’s a twist to the kebabs but I’m not going to spoil it for ya, go get one yourself and go to flavor country. Send me a postcard too!
- Satday was pretty chilled with breakfast and spontanious hair cuts. That night went to Simmo and Em’s house warming. Was great fun talking shit and drinking. Was pissed off that there were some people who thought it was ok to drink other peoples beer. Only the lowest of all bottom feeders do this and you know who you are. Fuckers.
- Sunday saw me and my old man at Telstra Dome to see the mighty tigers defeat the western bulldogs. Got to sit 4 rows back from the goals in the Richmond cheer squad. Have never sat so close to the action. Got to throw the game ball back onto the field after a Richmond goal. It’s the little things in life… Best on ground was Richo and just best always Nathan Brown. Champions!
The rest of the week is pretty standard with work but looks like Wednesday we’ll be going to see Arj Barker at the comedy festival. If you want in let me know.

iiCaptain!

Signed up to iiNet last night for ADSL and Phone. Will be awesome once set-up and even more awesome if when we move, we move to an iiNet DSLAM! This means that I can get ADSL2 and ADSL2+!
I’m drooling just at the thought of it… I am a huge geek.
To add to the geekness tonight is WrestleMania at the house of Stu!
Oh yeah you know it!

edit : just got e-mail from iiNet saying all should be complete on the 8th of April if not sooner! Woo Hoo!
edit : iiNet ADSL is now up and running!

Back in yellow and black

After 15 upsetting yet not surprising matches, the mighty Richmond Tigers have broken their loosing streak by defeating the hapless Hawthorn Hawkes.
Collingwood is yet to win a game this season and with Nathan Buckley out for an unknown amount of time it makes me smile inside. It couldn’t have happened to a nicer team…
What an awesome way to finish the weekend.
This week is what I am calling WWE’s ‘Week of Destruction’ with Wrestlemania going down Wednesday at Stu’s with a Subway Party Sub. Friday we’re at Rod Laver to see Smackdown and I’ll be posting photos of both of these events when I can.
Until then fuckers have a great week.

Made from beer

Thank god the week is at an end! Even though it was a short week it felt like tonight would never come!
Been absolutely flat out with work this week. Had the chance to see Strung Out on Thursday night (cheers LadyKiller) but chose work over rockin out… I don’t know what I was thinking!
Anyway next time hey? Oh, word on the street is Jimmy Eat World are headin our way this year… If this is true I’ll see ya there fucker!
Bit of a random post tonight but the BlackBerry and hornbag.net are working perfectly so expect a lot more random postings in the future from random locations!
If things go well this weekend I should end up with a file server for my place, which all fits in to the ‘major plan’ something I will go into more detail in another post. Nothing is really planned for this weekend except for me going to see Richmond vs Hawthorn on Sunday. A real clash of the titans!
That’s enough for now… Fuck Eddie and fuck Ryan Seacrest. Hornbag out… ;)
