Welcome to Monday people. After a huge alcohol induced weekend the start of the working week is not taking to me kindly…
Friday night was after work drinks at Suede on Smith St. Was a top night catching up with a couple of people I haven’t seen in years along with the rest of the crew.
Quiet one Satday before heading back down to Brunswick St for LadyKiller’s 21st birthday celebrations at The Old Colonial. Another fantastic night again catching up with some more people I haven’t seen in ages. The usual dumb stuffing around and talking shit went down. Classic.
Well the rest of the week is standard with Team Booka taking it to the oldies tonight in trivia. Hope to do well and stick it up Booka Style.
Nothing else I think on the rardar until the weekend. Ebo’s house warming is on Saturday night and I am thinking of having a BBQ in the park and a few pre-warming brews along with a little bit of soccer or Nerf… Come on you chumps get outta the house and come and have some fun in the sun (hopefully!). Location undecided but am thinking somewhere in the Northcote / Carlton area as this is where some of us are headed later that night.
And before you start having a winge about how far it may be from your place let me just say ‘Build a Bridge and Get Over It!’ Shit if I can come to you than I’m sure you can travel the few extra minutes. Make the effort people and be active!
Anyway more info on this later on so stay tuned. Have a great week and go Booka!

Alright, hornbag.net is going to be getting a bigger brother which will be more community based. Everyone will be able to have a blog and post news etc. There will also be galleries, forums and event calendars.
Only problem is I don’t have a name…!
I need suggestions on a name, then we’ll vote on the best. Put your thinking caps on and give me your best!
Sup Biatch’s!!!
This is Gypsy here, giving you the Lowdown on my life at this present moment in time……
First i would like to say sorry to Hornbag and the rest of the Crew for not coming to switch the other night, but unfortunatly i was inconvenienced with work till 2am… Man im sick of these Late shifts all the time! Can someone please give me my social life back, i feel like my life is made up of my freinds at work, Trying to Avoid seeing my ex girlfreind, and Sleeping a hearty 6 hours a night! Doesnt get much better than that does it, oh and did i forget to mention Bills…. Car (Fucking Piece of Shit!), Home….. You get the Picture anyway.
But the tables have turned my freinds, something amazing has happened, i have been offered another job! Maybe someone does love me out there, and get this, its Day time work!! and i get to watch the footy and the Cricket for Free!!!!! its at the G. i tell ya what, not everything in this world is out to get you. There are SANE woman out there (Yes i know its hard to belive), good things do happen to good people, and if there is a God out there, maybe he does want to help and not just try to Fuck Good Innocent people up the Ass all the fucking time!!!
There is a light at the end of the Tunnel, and there is hope for us all.
It just makes me think….. Are there any good woman out there? its a far fetched question, but im sure at the moment, with things going as good as they are, then the question has to be a Steardy “Yes”
PS. Yet another good thing for us to do…. I will be going to see the worlds greatest Psy Trance Producers of this time, a little group called Infected Mushroom from Isreal for my Birthday next month. If you are interested in joining my birthday celebrations on this night, then please contact me or just respond to this message and i will contact you. Its on the 9th of March. Please keep the 4th of march free also, seeing that is my Birthday Day. Beaut Ladies and Fellas!!
This was another pointless Rant from Gypsy
Hello people in Web world I Stu am back and tonight I am going to hit you with my First CD review of the year. The Band is Irrelevant.
This is Irrelevant’s debut album it is called ASCENSION now let me tell you people this is one great CD it is very well done. They are hard to describe this band so I have a Link to an MP3 from the CD it is called “Breathing flame, blackened tounge” and let me tell you it is a killer song. So how does the album stack up to this MP3 you say? It is a lot like the single but it is well put together in that it starts nice and hard and this single is the Opener on the Album. The cd then goes along much like the first song then near to the end it gets a bit slower to calm you down and make you just sit and think to yourself “Dam this is good”.
So would I like this you say? Give the MP3 ago if you like it you will LOVE the album if not I would give it a go as I do not think the MP3 is the best song on the CD.
In other music related news as Gav told you all SWITCH is on this weekend. It is going to be one Beer, music and more beer night of craziness. So if you want to come along and have some fun please call me or Gav. If you are reading this and you happen to be in Melbourne and think you might like to have some crazy fun with us but your not some crazy dude from the net then send me an email to Stuart.Mitchell@Gmail.com and we can Hook up and see some great bands.
Finally as Gav has told you the Road to Wrestlmania has started with the last PPV it will all end in late March with Wrestlmania 21 so if you like to eat a lot of junk food maybe drink some Beer or coke and love to yell at the TV then come to the Next PPV at my place latter this month.
Ok well I am done. One Final word is that the Hornbag Boys weekend is currently being worked on by me and Mr. Hornbag we are trying to finalize the dates and work out the accommodation for this great weekend if you have any idea please send me an Email. Thank you all.
Straight up off the bat I want to give a HUGE shout out to Hels who has been awesome in putting up with my stupid shit and for making Fu and I tacos while we played Xbox the other night. Baby you’re the greatest!
It’s been a little while since my last proper post and there has been heaps of post material, it’s just that I haven’t gotten around to putting fingers to keyboard so strap yourself in and here we go…
I watched the WWE Royal Rumble with Fu and Stu last Wednesday and being my first wrestling event I was a little unsure of what to expect. At the start I was a little confused as to what was going on and which oiled up dude was who but by the end I was yelling at the TV and loving every minute of it. I think my geek stock has just gone up a notch.
Coming up is Wrestle Mania 21 which is going to be an awesome pay per view and really looking forward to it. In the lead up to that though the Wrestle Mania 21 game hits the Xbox on the 3rd of March so there will be plenty of Title Matches taking place in the comfort of our own homes. Also to add to the wrestling excitement the WWE is coming to Australia with Smakdown burning up Melbourne and Raw ripping it up in Sydney… the two events are a day apart and on a weekend. Are we crazy enough to do both…? You’ll have to wait and see…!
In the Xbox department there are some sweet games being released in the next few weeks including the new Timesplitters Future Perfect, Fight Night Round 2, as mentioned Wrestle Mania 21 and looking further into the future it has been announced that there is going to be a Family Guy game! As crazy and possibly crap this may be I’m willing to give it a try. If it’s half as good as the show I’ll be happy and pissing myself with laughter.
Talking Family Guy the long awaited 4 Season hits the screens in the US on the 1st of May after it was cancelled by Fox but then they sold a shitload of DVD’s so decided to milk this cash cow in true Fox manner. It’s good to see that the demands of the people will be met which took me by surprise seeing how old Family Guy is in TV years. Having fresh new episodes is going to be a nice early birthday present for Stu, Pete and I. Obviously I’ll be getting my sweaty little hands on them as soon as they grace the internet so if you want a brother to hook you up let me know!
In line with the May 1st premier of Family Guy, is the premier of American Dad. Another master piece from the brain of Seth MacFarlane. Actually the pilot went to air a day or so ago and I have it at the moment. It’s pretty good with some classic lines mainly targeting Americans and terrorism in general. Well worth a watch and will dead set get funnier as it finds it’s feet.
Looking to this weekend, make sure you get your punkass down to Switch on Satday night to see the Away From Now boys with Anotherway, Realist Few and Bullet the Blue Sky. The music will be brutal, the beers cheap and a top night is guaranteed on this one.
Anyway until then try and enjoy the rest of your week and don’t forget that Valentines Day is Monday or expect to sleep on the couch.
Until then, Peace.
