What the heck is up with this years australian idol winner, Now she was not my first choice in fact she probably didnt make my top three but good on her for winning anyways. One article i read in the paper about her caught my eye and i just had to say something about it. Now she is a smoker and she is sixteen so technically she is able to smoke just not purchase cigarettes, however, that is not the issue. What pisses me off is that she has decided to quit because of all the bad wrap she is copping for being a smoker, yes smoking is bad for you we’ve all seen the ads and the stories on a current affair , i know how bad it is, i cop it off my mum everyday about my smoking. But Casey has decided to quit because people are complaining about her being a bad role model because she smokes, but before she had won, the papers were all saying how mature she was and how it is good to see she was being herself and doing what makes her happy. Now quitting is commendable but don’t her reasons go against all that those papers and what she herself has been saying, all those kids out there will be confused and now think that they must not be true to themselves and bow down to what other people tell them to do and not do what makes them happy. I don’t really care whether she quits or not to be perfectly honest i just think its funny how opinions of peoplc change at the snap of a finger. So all you kiddies out there you can either do what your heart desires or bow down to peer pressure from you friends and parents but remember you cant be good all the time!

Well the last episode of The OC graced our screens last night and hot dog that was a great show.
So many memories and funny moments. It made me laugh and it made me cry. In fact I’m tearing up just a little by thinking about all the special times we shared…
Anyway the second series has already started in the US and I’m already about 4 or so episodes in and lovin every moment of it. The second season is just as great as the first and if you guys want to catch up let me know and I’ll hook you up.

Well NYE is on again as it is every year and this time looks like we are going to be having a party down at Jac’s Parents place in Port Franklin. The people have been calling for this and a house party is always great at NYE. Please leave comments on what you think of this plan please people.
Next thing we need to know is that Parma and Pint is on again tomorrow night I am going not sure who else so please send me a message during the day my friends if you’re in. Now I will be on the road next week as I am going to Sydney all next week to see how my Grandma is going as she has lost the plot so I will try to send a Special Sydney post for you all. Now one more thing the final OC for the year was really good back to the best I say.

OK folks you wanted ad praising you got it, however there is a little twist, it is not just one ad i am referring to it is a whole type, a genre if you will.
while there have been shit curry and consistently really ridiculously shit cereal ads one type of ad or advertising department that have been holding up their end incredibly well.

There are so many damn good and hilarious beer ads out now it makes me wanna drink beer!
(for those who dont know me i dont’t like beer at all).
Lets start with the classics VB the old ads were great manly men doing manly things then being rewarded with a VB, now the ads are new age up to date and really funny i have to say i quite like them.
James Boag Draught i don’t remember any previous ads however the ads for this particular beer are also funny a less laugh out loud humour but good none the less.
And we cant forget Hahn a guy jumping in a spa or jumping off a balcony for beer resulting in the humiliation of his girlfreind, priceless.
Finally Guiness, some of you may not remember the old ads with the dancing guy but they were good, but theyre new animated ads are really funny and what can i say they are nothing short of BRILLIANT!
For all you people who make ads for a living the ads that i have just discussed are what we the public would like and deserve to see, the ads have set the bar of what is possible to be done, be funny memorable (for the right reasons) and in general not suck ass, if you can not produce decent ads well you suck and i will hang shit on you

Hello my fellow readers it Stu back posting up something for you to read.
Well let’s start from Tuesday on this night I went to see a Band they were called Rufio and well it was a very good solid show. I finished work at 10 on this night then got a ride to the corner hotel and then I ran in as the show started 50 mins later it was over and I went home it was a crazy night. It was not the show of the year but for a band that only has 2 LP’s out they did well but the mosh was in my Opinion one shitty mosh.
Next on Wed night I had some Optus free drinking sessions and this was good fun as free beer is always good. On Friday night it was the Optus Christmas party me and my life partner Mr. Hornbag went along and drank and drank and so on until we were Blotto. Now I was meant to shout out to Nikki from my work but I was so drunk I can not remember what I was to post? If someone remembers please help me out. Now a funny thing did happen latter on that night it was the end and I had lost everyone including Mr. Hornbag who went off home so I did as well but latter on the next day I found out how drunk Mr. Hornbag was he was so drunk that he fell asleep in the Cab. When the driver woke him and asked “Where are you going?” Mr. Hornbag turned to the back seat and went “Hey Stu where are we going” The funny thing was I was not in the cab.
Well Saturday was a bit of a party it was a good night we all had a bit of a dance I think there is some film of some fool dancing that Mr. Hornbag has but lets hope that never gets out. I tell you GTA is so great I just keep playing and I really love it if you have a PS2 get this game.
Ok this post has been going for too long I am going to stop now.
Looks like their going to make a movie on The Da Vinci Code, which is a fantastic book penned by Dan Brown. I am currently reading it and loving every page of it. I feel like a chump because I’ve jumped on the band wagon seeing that this book has been the number one seller in the US for umm… like 83 weeks! I didn’t start reading this book because everyone else is but more for the content of the book which covers the Knights Templar and the ‘secret’ (well it’s not really a secret) of Jesus that pulls the floorboards out from underneath Christianity. I don’t need to explain the method to my madness so I wont. Anyway a movie is in the making and it will guarantee big bucks at the box office. Tom Hanks is reported to play the character of Langdon which I can see him doing, might not be my first choice but he should do it justice. Ron Howard is to direct also. Look forward to seeing it when it comes out, just as long as they don’t Hollywood it up with pointless shit because the content of the book is not ‘made for movie’ material. More just tell it like it is.

On another note I have been playing around with Skype and when it first came out I thought it was a bit of a wank but after a bit of playing around and trying it out I give it three thumbs up!
You get free calls between skype users and it doesn’t take a genius to work out how cool this is when making calls overseas etc… I’ve been using it for local calls between skype users and the quality is awesome! Not only that you can send instant messages to each other and files while talking. It truly is a great little bit of software.
Go out and get it!
Hello all it is Stu back with first post for some time.
Well why have I not posted I can hear you all ask this is because I have been working on my new entertainment system that I think most of you call the Friday night cinema. I have just been given Microsoft Media Center 2005 from Mr. Hornbag and have been working hard on getting it working for my system and let me tell you it is damm hard. I want to know why they make it so hard if they ever release this commercially then they better do a LOT more work on it. My first impression is that it is a really great thing if you own a HTPC as it is perfect for PC use anyway I will continue to work on it to get it working.
Inverock was one great fun time and I am already looking forward to next year Inverock 2005. I will be updating my Golf site soon to add some pics and results I do have to tell you all that I won the Big one the Inverock championship and I was happy with that but it might have been slightly hard for Mr. FU to win as we did not even give him a handicap and the course we played was DAM hard.
Now on to this week we have good old Parma and Pint and I want to see the regulars all turn up this week if you can all make it. On Friday we have Mr. FU’s B-Day party this should be good if anyone can think of something good to get this crazy fool can you tell me or can you Mr. Fu send me and SMS if you have an idea of what you want. Now finally all this talk of GTA has made me want it and so I have got a PS2 for free from work and it comes with 8meg memory card and GT3 so I can also get this great game that on IGN they gave 9.9/10.

i know im meant to be a bit more positive with my segments but what the fuck this ad is way to shit to pass up.
Have any of you eaten Uncle Toby’s OT’s, i for one have not and now i have no intention too either. The ad for them is most definately one of the stupidest ads i have seen in a very long time.
Long story short these kids don’t wanna eat their cereal OT’s so their mum calls Thorpies (Ian Thorpe) hotline for help. He then says to tell her kids things like they are phat and other jackass lines and finally says to say they are fully sick, when she does the kids love the cereal and eat.
WHAT THE FUCK! are these kids retarded or something no offence but firstly those kids are not even the correct ethnicity to use that phrase, and secondly as if they would listen to their mum saying fully sick.
This ad just makes me think that OT’s are a shit cereal they even advertise those kids not wanting to eat it, do they want people to not buy it, and why use thorpie to advertise it, he looks like the biggest bum in that ad! yeah he can swim like a motherfucker but hey it dont mean he should be on tv we all remeber thorpies angel’s DUD. The only time that thorpie should be on tv is when hes swimming in a race and the post race interview, maybe a pre race shot with no talking but thats it.
In fact no swimmers should be on ads even the women and that says a lot coming from me, NO SWIMMERS IN ADS, this opinion goes back several years for me to kieren perkins once again great swimmer BAD spokesperson, he did ads for sizzler where are they now huh? BANKRUPT! and i blame him.

Been a bit quiet round these parts, so let me share with you a few things I’ve been up to.
Been watching the new episodes of -
– Viva La Bam (3rd series)
– Pimp My Ride (2nd series)
– The OC (2nd series)
Viva La Bam is still as stupid as usual with heaps of laughs however I noticed this towards the end of the 2nd series that Bam has way too much money and he thinks he is the shit. This really sucks and rubs off onto the show as he is a bit of a prick and thus makes for unpleasant viewing. Pity seeing that Viva La Bam is heaps better than Jackass.
I don’t know who came up with the idea for Pimp My Ride but they are sheer genius! Having Xzibit as the host… not as genius. He’s shit funny though being the badass rapper that he is. The real stars of the show are the boyz from West Coast Customs. Shit can they pimp a car! Season 2 is looking just as good.
Alright now to The OC, If you are still watching it on TV I won’t spoil it for you. The first episode picks up right where we left those crazy kids from Newport with a top shelf quality episode that will hopefully carry on to the rest of the season! A lot of the loose ties are cleaned up while at the same time making paths for some killer story lines in the future. Awesome awesome awesome!
Also I’ve been playing a fair bit of GTA San Andreas (not as much as Tre though!) and really loving this game. Frustrates the poo outta me I’ve only completed a few missions but it’s a sweet game with heaps of secret stuff (check the showers in the police station… classic! Very Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) and the map is MASSIVE! Shit it’s big.
Also just recently watched Haggard with the CKY crew (Bam Margera etc…) and it is surprisingly good! It’s about Ryan Dunn’s exgirlfriend who screws him over while also screwing everyone else. Lots a cheap jokes but also a few quality ones. Killer soundtrack and some awesome shots with long exposure and time delay. Also has some sweet skating fotage from some of the best there is. This move did surprise me and I would give a 3 outta 5.
Also a quick shout out to my Hels for yesterday. You’re the best!
